Sheila Knuckles

Sheila Marie Knuckles, 58, of Nashville, formerly of Marissa, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born on June 7, 1958 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Cletus J. And Lorraine Panek Files. She married Harold Knuckles in 1972 in Perryville, Mo., and he survives in Nashville.

Also left to mourn her passing are two sons, Harold Knuckles, Jr. of Sparta, and Timothy Knuckles of Nashville; five daughters, Tina Knuckles of Millstadt, Danielle Landi of Marissa, Shannon Knuckles of Tilden, Amber Knuckles Maurer and Ashley Knuckles both of Nashville; two sisters, Charlotte Files of Belleville and Nora Files of Freeburg; a step-brother and step-sister; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jonathon; and a sister, Claudine Tomlinson.

Mrs. Knuckles was a member of the Nashville Assembly of God Church (The Healing Place). She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Nashville Assembly of God church with Rev.’s Scott and Syd Osenbaugh officiating.

Burial will follow in the Smithton cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
