Greetings,
On behalf of the City of Wamac, we are thankful for your support towards the annual Wamac Fest. All festival proceeds will always go to the improvements at the Wamac City Park.
We take great pride in all the wonderful playground equipment and upkeep that goes to your city park. We sincerely ask again for your help in donating raffle items, etc., that will be given as attendance prizes to the public. We also ask for your help in making cakes for the Cake Walk, in which you can pick up cake mix and frosting at Wamac City Hall and drop off at City Hall prior to the fest or bring to the park Saturday.
Wamac Fest will be held on Sept. 20, from 3 to 11 p.m. at your park. As always, we will have good food, as the Timmons Family and friends will prepare their famous Wamac pork steaks, brats and hot dogs, too. Also, soft drinks will be provided by the Central City Lions, which helps buy glasses and hearing aids for those in need, and good music and children’s activities will be in abundance as well. We do welcome crafters who would like to set up a stand as well.
We appreciate anything you can do to help the City of Wamac to keep improving the park that everyone in the greater area can enjoy. Please attend your festival and help us raise the needed funds to improve your park.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me anytime at 618-533-5602 or at City Hall at 618-532-1138. Again, “THANK YOU” for your support and please remember, “It’s for the Kids.”
Sincerely,
Jackie D. “Butch” Mathus Jr.
Mayor of the City of Wamac
