PARADE MARSHALS — Flo and David Luechtefeld were the Okawville Wheat Fest parade marshals.
OKAWVILLE — The theme of this year’s Okawville Wheat Festival Parade Sunday was “Favorite Commercials – Old and New.” There were just under 60 entries in the Okawville Wheat Festival Parade.
Per Illinois High School Association rules, high school, junior high and grade school marching bands did not march in the parade due to extreme heat, including Okawville High School, Nashville Middle School, Marissa High School, Mascoutah High School, Breese Junior High, Okawville Grade School, Freeburg High School, Nashville High School, Germantown Elementary School, New Athens High School and Okawville Junior High.
Parade Marshals Flo and David Luechtefeld led the parade. Royalty in the parade included Miss Okawville Fair Queen Ady Harre; Queen contestants Addison Luna, Claire Dulle, Hanley Presswood, Madisyn Wienstroer, Mallory Bening and Kirsten Sale; Jr. Miss Tyler Kuhn and Jr. Miss Contestants Parker Sale, Lucy Hundelt, Adalynn Wienstroer, Braelyn Dunn, Tilly Jackson and Kori Lohman; USOA Miss Southern Illinois Lillian Wright; Miss Washington County Fair Queen Maci Wolf; Jr. Miss Washington County Fair Queen Maylen Kramper; Little Miss Washington County Fair Queen Paisley Hund; and Venedy Homecoming Queen.
