The Illinois Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 28 in Mount Vernon recently presented a Plaque of Commendation to Michael and Sharon Ward, of Ward’s Pressure Washing in Mount Vernon. Over the years, the Wards have been steady contributors to the mission of supporting and assisting needy U.S. military veterans, which is the focus of the DAV. In addition to monetary donations, the Wards have also donated equipment, mechanical services, storage areas, transportation/delivery services and facility space for mechanical endeavors, just to name a few. The Wards are but a few of the business donors in and around the Jefferson County area that step up when a need arises. The DAV appreciates each and every donor that honors those who served in the armed forces of our country.
