MOUNT VERNON — Alice White, 80, of Mount Vernon, died at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.

She was born on April 25, 1941, in Benton, the daughter of the late William and Elnora (Church) Learned. She married Warren White on Dec. 23, 1960, in Mount Vernon. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on March 31, 2021.

Mrs. White is survived by her daughter, Stasey Rightnowar and husband Greg of Mount Vernon; son, William White of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Brandon Scrivner, Lexi Perimon and husband Justin, and Autumn White; step-grandchild, Falon Breeze and husband Cory; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Carole Allen of Clarksville, Tennessee, Dixie Rector and husband Don of Mount Vernon, and Roger Storment and wife Jan of Allen, Texas; and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Ward and husband Clarence of Arizona.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Deneen Storment; and sister, Carla Soloman.

Mrs. White was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Mount Vernon Elks. She enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, playing bingo, and singing her own version of happy birthday to anyone that would listen. She was the life of the party and liked to give out scratch off tickets for birthdays but she would have them scratched already. She was a firecracker and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2021, at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, with Rev. Don Rector officiating. Interment will follow.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
